We are putting a creative Cruinniú na nÓg challenge to all of the young people across Carlow County and are offering prizes for the most creative and innovative re-use of their old clothing.
Young people are invited to design and create their own piece of clothing from second-hand clothes and from everyday items sourced in their own homes. Concerns around the fast fashion industry and its impacts on the environment are frequently highlighted in today’s media.
So, can you find a creative yet practical reuse for your old textiles? Can you re-create, re-use and re-imagine while playing your part in protecting the environment?
Participants should submit their before and after jpg images to Jannette O’Brien at email@example.com on or before the 13th of June.
Prize winners of this environmental opportunity will be announced the following week with all submissions images shared online!
Supported by the Environment Section of Carlow County Council.
