Anne Bradley will share a variety of sensory activities, exploring the potential of materials in the home Through observing and exploring the work of visual artists children will be invited to take part in sensory activities using flour, lentils, sand and water. The activities are designed to be calming, attentive shared experiences. They will explore mark making, and leaving traces through movement. These will be playful, meditative experiences – pouring, pressing, shifting, trickling, sweeping, sprinkling and repeating.
Materials Required: White flour, red lentils, tea strainer / sieve, light card, pencil, scissors, selection of cutlery, soft household paintbrush for sweeping, small bowls or cups, milk jug, two storage boxes with lids.
The workshop videos will be online on June 13th all day so that children can with family support take part.
Anne Bradley is an educator based in Dublin, she studied Fine Art Sculpture in NCAD and completed an MA in Visual Arts Education in 2012.
