Solid, Sound & Space – The Ark

Solid, Sound & Space is for ages 8+ and is designed for families with visual impairment (a family with children and/or grown-ups who have visual impairment).  

Musician Emilie Conway will lead a group of disabled children on a discovery of The Ark in totally new ways through a variety of art forms. Originally developed in collaboration with children with visual impairments, on this special tour of The Ark, children will explore the sound of the space in many ways (voice, music, movement etc).

They will also explore the solid aspects of the building, how spaces feel etc. Emilie and accompanying musicians will use sound and music to enhance the experience of the building and its many spaces.

The tour will also interact in a unique way with Wolfwalkers, a visual arts exhibition about animation and storytelling.

Tour times are 10am and 12pm and last about an hour. Tickets are free but advance booking is required. This event is for children aged 8+ with visual impairments and their grown-ups. Please book directly with our box office by calling 01 6707788 or emailing boxoffice@ark.ie.
