St. Conleth & Mary’s, Newbridge | Classroom Residency Virtual Exhibition

  • Exhibition

In 2021 the pupils and teachers of 3rd class in St. Conleth and Mary’s Primary School, Newbridge, worked with artist and writer Helen Flanagan to create a body of work that explored collaborative storytelling, and different approaches to shared storytelling across different media and mediums.

The residency happened across a blended mix of video, online and in-person sessions between Helen and the pupils. Together they have produced a series of radio plays, shadow puppetry films, a collaborative board game and a book

This exhibition will be an online, interactive multimedia celebration and presentation of the work produced by Helen and the pupils. The presentation will include the pupils’ work as well as some fun film and documentary pieces that show how the work was made, and give insight into the pupils’ own thoughts on the process.
