Story through dance- Embodying children’s storybooks through movement – 5 to 8 years

  • Workshop

In these workshops we will explore a children’s storybook through movement. Our bodies become our voices and a means to learn, express knowledge, understanding and emotion. 

After being introduced to the story, children will be given an opportunity to experiment with different pathways, levels and dynamics of movement before embodying and retelling the story collectively. There will be opportunities for improvisation, collaboration, sharing and of course fun throughout. 

As a professional dancer, dance facilitator and primary school teacher Kate-Anne’s goal is to enable children who struggle to articulate themselves through language, to express themselves confidently through dance and movement.
