Telling Tales @Triskel

  • Performance

Do you have a story that’s bursting to get out of you? Would you like to hear your story read out in public – EVERY SINGLE WORD? Then we want to read it.

We are celebrating children’s creativity on Cruinniú na nÓg and are inviting young writers between 6 and 12 years old to submit a new story of up to 300 words.  A selection of the stories will be read online on Saturday the 13th of June, the national day of youth creativity, by actor George Hanover who incidentally, has played a lot of baddies like the Wicked Witch of the West (The Wizard of Oz), Lucinda the Wicked Witch (Sleeping Beauty), the Evil Stepmother (Snow White) but she’s actually quite lovely and funny and will take great care in bringing your stories to life!

Your story can be about anything you like……… your Granny, a day in the life of your dog, the tree outside your window and the mysterious creatures that live in it, the best day of your life, the colour of the wind or if you had wings where would you fly to? Your story can be fact, fiction, funny, frightening, fuzzy or fruity. Anything at all you want to write about.

This event will be available all day on Saturday 13th June, to find out more please follow the link below. More information to follow soon.

Please submit your story via the link below no later than Friday 22nd May.
