The Cutest Chick and Fabric Craft Workshops

  • Performance

The Cutest Chick is a performance and installation of children at play with giant balls.

It mobilises giant sculptures of chicks in a children’s game called ‘the cutest chick builds a bridge’. The installation uses Zorb balls, sculpted using felt to look like chicks, to comment on the absurdity of war.

Children are separated into two teams and dressed in Zorb balls. Each team holds a ribbon as a line/border and tries to twist the ribbon in order to build a bridge. The bridge is tested with a small ball which rolls the length of the bridge. The most creative player is crowned the cutest chick.
