Step into the spotlight with The Light Box workshop, a dynamic 3-hour exploration of stage and theatre lighting. Dive into two interconnected workshops designed to illuminate your understanding and ignite your creativity.

In the drama workshop, participants will discover how light can shape and elevate performance, exploring its transformative effects on stage. Led by seasoned GSA facilitators, this hands-on session will empower actors to embrace light as a dynamic tool in their craft.

Meanwhile, in the light design workshop, participants will unleash their inner artists, crafting their own light designs using a scale model of a black box theatre. Guided by experienced lighting designers, participants will experiment with colour, intensity, and mood to bring their visions to life.

Set in a bustling Dublin theatre, this immersive experience offers participants a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the magic of stage lighting. From the play of shadows to the dance of colours, participants will witness first-hand the enchanting interplay between light and performance.
