Shadow Play – The Kilian Story 

In October 2024, the ancient relics of St. Kilian will return to Mullagh, the birthplace of St Kilian. This is a very significant event for the community, parish and wider diocese. To mark this historic occasion, the children of St Kilian’s NS have been asked to narrate the story of St Kilian.

Pupils from St Kilian’s NS will perform a shadow puppetry drama to highlight the importance of St Kilian in this area. Following on from this short performance, in an hour-long workshop, other children will be given the opportunity to create a short story and perform their story through shadow puppetry. 

The workshops will demonstrate the processes involved when producing shadow puppetry.

We hope you can come and experience this ancient form of theatrical entertainment.

This workshop is suitable for children ages 8-11 years.
