This workshop aims to bring a group of young people together to understand biodiversity and habitats, give them a sense of place and learn about the importance of being in and benefitting from nature.
It will explore our natural environment through nature walks, art and mindfulness during a four-hour workshop. It will identify the places where art can be created without damaging ecosystems, understanding the plants that can be used and those which may be much rarer. Through mindfulness the workshop participants will experience a sense of peace in nature and discover a place to relax.
The workshop will be open to 12 secondary school age young people. Equipment will be provided and it will take place in Merlin Woods, Galway.
This is a free event and booking is required. To book please get in contact with Youth Work Ireland Galway by email: firstname.lastname@example.org
