The Room of Joy

  • Workshop

Get ready for an unforgettable celebration of language, culture and traditional games with Mother Tongues’ “The Room of Joy”. Join us from June 13th at the Adamstown Community Centre, where we’re turning up the fun during Cruinniú na nÓg 2024.

Discover a world of creativity and connection as families come together to share an artistic and fun experience. With our art-based workshops and drop-in sessions, get ready to unleash your imagination and create memories that last a lifetime. From traditional games to sensory adventures and collective art projects, artist Fernanda Ferrari will create a weekend of delight.

13th June – WORKSHOP 3.30 to 5:00pm

During the workshop, families will collaborate to create traditional games from various cultures using recycled and accessible art materials. Parents are encouraged to actively participate in the creative process with their children to strengthen familial bonds. This will also be a safe and non-judgmental space for families to speak their home languages and, therefore, celebrate multilingualism.

Join us as we celebrate language!
