Learn how to make exciting music and video in a series of workshops with talented Cavan musician Daragh Slacke.
Daragh is a music teacher, facilitator, producer, performer, songwriter and manager of a number of groups ranging from traditional to funk to progressive rock.
Participants will learn the technique of producing songs with online applications such as Soundtrap and KineMaster. Daragh will share his tricks and tips for writer’s block – how to get the ball rolling when nothing seems to be happening!
Using other techniques, such as music in nature, Daragh will incorporate sounds from our environment to create original music. The participants will have the opportunity to work with filmmaker Padraig Conaty and Cummins Ancient Ireland, a poetic force of nature.
Participants will be taken through the process of video production and refining the music and video for the final publication, which will be ready for Cruinniú day. Check out the Cavan Monaghan CreativeYouTube Channel on 11 June for the final pieces!
The 10-week online workshops via Zoom take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Participants are welcome to join at any stage. To book contact Daragh at dslacke@gmail.com.
