John Ó Faoláin from Traditional Archive Channel will guide you through the process of filming and editing footage on mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets. This Virtual Seomra Traidisiúnta Workshop will provide an interactive, immersive, creative space for children and young people to actively engage in the traditional arts, digital archiving technology, film and editing processes.
During the online workshop hosted on Zoom there will be plenty of opportunity for learning with demonstrations of filming, editing, sound, and archiving techniques. Parents are encouraged to take part in this workshop.
Working mainly in film, sound and photography John’s work centres around collecting and archiving culture and heritage material, superstitions and folklore, material which is generated through conversations, relationships and interactions within a community or place. John has extensive experience delivering the Seomra Traidisiúnta Workshops to children and young people in schools throughout Ireland.
This event is Live and can only be accessed at the time specified. Details on how to book a place for this event will follow shortly at the link below.
