The Voiceless Performer

  • Screening

Sit back and enjoy a dramatic performance presented by Mullingar Arts Centre and young performers from the stage school.

In ‘The Voiceless Performer’, Cassie, a young drama student, is wandering the grounds of Belvedere House, when, close to the famous Jealous Wall, she meets a woman in old-fashioned dress.

As they sit and chat, they discover they have a lot in common. Both are performers without a voice or a stage. Instead of giving up and letting life get them down, they decide to sing out loud—right there and then.

This pre-recorded short drama celebrates singing from the roof tops, dancing in the rain and jazz hands. As the saying goes, ‘When life gives you lemons…make lemonade.’

Join us at 3pm on Cruinniú day at the Mullingar Arts Centre website to enjoy this pre-recorded video.
