Guitar for Three Teenage Bands

The Music Generation Sligo Band Programme has gone from strength to strength in the past year and currently have three young teenage bands who practice and rehearse every Saturday in Rumble Rehearsal Studios. All three bands will perform live at this year’s Cruinniú na nÓg event.

Original MGS band, Accident Prone, performed for the very first time in the Radisson Hotel in March 2018 at the MSLETB Annual Awards Day to a very appreciative audience. The group also performed at the Ben Bulben Festival in June 2018 and at a week-long gala concert event later that month. The band turn to all things rock with their influences originating from Foo Fighters, Artic Monkeys, and Oddsocks. Their set list includes classic songs that will make you sing every word and air guitar every riff! With the band also working on original material, you can expect to hear a little of what the future of music in Ireland has to look forward to!

Statistic Life is a band who cites influences from rock and pop to Irish folk music. Statistic Life are a band who have found the right balance to create a set list that will entertain all music lovers.

The Contradictions, meanwhile, have found their sound from the classic Motown and soul music genres. The perform covers from the queen of soul Aretha Franklin to the more recent style of Matt Duncan to ensure anybody listening will be dancing from the first song to the last.
