Taking place at Thomastown Library, Unison is a series of four two-hour workshops specifically for children in the community.
Participants are invited to bring with them a responsibly-foraged or found natural item to the workshop. The session will begin with a ‘show and tell’ of the found object before using these items as inspiration for drawing and mark making. The children will then transfer their research drawings onto high-quality paper and through hand-sewing, they will attach their object onto the page and use drawing with stitch in a colour palette from nature.
A curated display of the children’s creative works will be held in John’s Green Gallery window, The Arts Office, Johns Green House, Kilkenny on June 10. All are invited to view their unique works and see it on show for the whole community.
