This collective showcase invites you to engage with creative work produced by young people from Dublin’s north east inner city.
The programme is built on creative collaboration between young people, youth workers, and artists. This year, we’ve brought together young people and youth workers from SWAN Youth Service, Ballybough Youth Project, LYCS, and Belvedere Youth Club. Using various art forms including film, photography, mixed-media sculpture, and drawing, participating young artists explore some of the issues that matter most to them: bullying, stereotypes, social media safety, social activism, homelessness, environment, discrimination, friendship, and community. Join us for the below events to see what they’ve created and learn more about their work.
1pm: Launch of web content at whatsyourissue.ie/cruinniu (films via YouTube premieres and image galleries accompanied by brief video introductions by some of the artists). This material will be available on the site going forward.
2 to 2.45pm: Zoom webinar event hosted by young artists from the programme. They’ll introduce their work through an informal virtual tour followed by an artists Q&A. There will also be a music performance by young people from the youth services. Booking is required for this event at the link below.
Recommended audience: Young people, the NEIC community, and general population age 11+.
