Writing for Wellbeing for Teens

  • Workshop

Join this supportive and friendly writing workshop designed to help encourage wellbeing. It will be hosted by Elizabeth Rose Murray who writes for children, young adults, and adults across a variety of genres.

The workshops will take place on Saturday mornings for four weeks in the lead up to Cruinniú na nÓg. Each running for two hours the workshops will take place on May 22nd, May 29th, June 5th and June 12th.

Through a series of writing exercises and prompts, participants will try various techniques that tap into their creativity to explore emotions and ideas and build a store of writing tools that can be used to help boost focus and inspiration.

The workshops will focus on getting ideas out and words on the page, so participants will not be required to share their work aloud. There will be plenty of time for discussion, reflection, and questions.

This event is suitable for beginners and the only materials required are paper and pens.
