Youth Voices for a Faster & Fairer Climate Action want to use art to amplify young people’s advocacy efforts to mobilise the community and local government to act together against climate change.
Three youth groups in Galway City will participate in trainings with the SAUTI-Youth project to learn about the Citizen Voice and Action (CVA) model, a local level advocacy methodology that aims to improve the dialogue between communities and government.
Young people will be equipped with tools to monitor government policies (specifically on climate adaptation and mitigation) and facilitate a process to improve and implement those policies. With this application we want to introduce an art element to work alongside the advocacy piece.
We would like young people to engage with an artist to learn how creative methodologies can be used to convey their message and create an artwork that can be exhibited to reach a wider audience.
Sauti Youth Project will showcase their art work from their workshops on Facebook at 4pm on Saturday 12th June 2021 – tune in then!
Tune in at 4pm on 12th June
