SoloSIRENs Careground

  • Workshop

SoloSIRENS theatre making collective will be guiding two groups of 5th class students from Sacred Heart Senior National School in creating an interactive art installation around the theme of care. This installation will be in place in Rua Red Tallaght for Cruinniú na nÓg on 15th June.

The art installation will be created in collaboration with the pupils through a series of storytelling, movement, singing, writing and meditation workshops delivered by SoloSIRENS. The aim is to encourage young people to reflect and start a dialogue around the definition and importance of care in our society. These workshops are being led by Pauline Dalton, Michelle Henry and Neltah Chadomoyo and overseen by SoloSIRENS director, Jenny MacDonald.

On the 15th June, the installation will be open for public engagement in Rua Red. People of all ages can come and visit at any time of the day and spend a desired amount of time. This will be an environment to relax, imagine and reflect. Audiences will have the opportunity to creatively respond and add to the installation. The young creators from Sacred Heart will make the decision on exactly what this public interaction looks like. There will be facilitators present on the day to support audience engagement with the work.
