Cruinniú na nÓg 2024 will be marked in Mountbellew by an exhibition and storytelling event at the walled garden. 

This exhibition will be the end result of a series of workshops taking place over the month of May.  Details below:

• 11/05/24              2pm-4pm
  • Registration at walled garden. Families come to Mountbellew woods for collection of art materials and begin foraging and planning your story about your object in Irish, English or any other language including music and singing. Workshop on how to develop this concept
• 18/05/24               2pm -4pm                   
  • Bring your story and enjoy a workshop on making art from your findings. Make an artwork- drawing, painting or clay model of your found object or your musical sounds of nature or a tree or whatever in nature you respond to
• 25/05/24               2pm-4pm 
  • Families come and collect twigs for a fun time making frames from nature. Make a frame from twigs and twine participatory workshop and add embellishments from nature also

• 08/06/24                 2pm-4pm 
  • Make sounds with natural elements and objects Finalise your story or song or music and I will run a workshop on recording the sounds of the woods from a walk to the boathouse to the walled garden

If weather is not suitable for the final show on June 15th, then it will be moved to the Mountbellew Community Centre.
