Deep Dive Game Jam: A gaming adventure exploring the environmental issues facing two maritime communities.

  • Workshop

Are you a young person aged 13-17,  interested in gaming? Are you passionate about the environment? Join our cross border Deep Dive Game Jam, 8th and 9th June, part of our Cruinniú na nÓg Wexford programme 2024.

Our Deep Dive Game Jam will work with twenty young people – 10 from Wexford and 10 from Belfast – to develop a new video game from scratch. The mission is to save our environmental future.

Led by experienced game developers and artists, this game jam will explore programming, visual game design and game narratives. Over two days, you will be based at computers in Wexford Arts Centre and in The MAC in Belfast. You will work in groups, linking with cross border teammates through video conferencing technology. The game developed by the group will form part of the evening event for Criunniú na nÓg Wexford on 15th June.

Participants must be available to attend on 8th and 9th June, 10.00am to 5.00pm. A yummy lunch and refreshments will be provided on both days.

This event is free, but booking is essential as places are limited.
