Newtownforbes Summer Science Festival

Building on the success of Newtownforbes Summer Science Festival 2023 the committee of Newtownforbes Tidy Towns are proud to announce its inclusion for Cruinniú na nÓg 2024. 

The following is a list of activities that will take place during the day.

  • 2 acts by Circus 250; Janita’s Big Problem – Plastic Pollution – demonstrating the problems and solutions, also Science on Stilts.
  • Treasure Hunt along our Biodiversity & Heritage Trail with explorer packs for the kids. 
  • Publication and launch of a comic book designed by Scoil Mhuire 5th Class Primary School children.
  • Children’s Photo Competition of the flora, fauna & the local environment taken over the Spring and early Summer 2024. Winners and prizes to be displayed and announced on the day.
  •  Fun activities including children’s face painting.
  • Guest Speakers (to be confirmed).
  • Refreshments including Ice Cream and Food Vans.
