Night time Comedy workshops for 16-18 year olds

Night Time Economies and Creative Kilkenny invite you to uncover the secrets of stand-up with three of your local laugh masters! Dive into the world of comedy, pick up some tricks of the trade, and get the scoop on starting your own comedy hub.

 Special Guests Comics Shannon Basso Gaule, Saoirse Keating and Kian Carroll invite you to join them for an evening of giggles and learning, and who knows, you might just leave with your own comedy venture in mind! 

We invite each attendee to bring along their favourite one-liner to share—no need to be the author, just bring a joke that tickles your funny bone!

6-8 pm Workshop (Age Group 16-18 yrs) will include

  • Joke writing 
  • Stagecraft 
  • ‘The Comedy Scene’ – Crash course -How to create a comedy scene/set up events/get booked. Goal by the end of the workshop: Each youth will have the basic skills for joke writing, stage presence and basic tools to set up their own comedy scene.
