Cruinniú na nÓg Late

For the first time, the programme will include a series of late night alcohol free events for young people.

Cruinniú Late includes a play created and performed within 24 hours in the crypt of the Waterford Museum, a Rocky Horror Picture Show screening and dance off in Limerick, silent discos in Dun Laoghaire and Offaly, and an open mic night at the comedy club in South Dublin. Fionn Mac Ceol – A Night of Circus & Music, Circus Factory Cork, Centre Park House

Join the young performers from Circus Factory Cork and Music Generation Cork City for this unique exploration of the legend of Fionn Mac Chumhall. Event goers will not only be treated to this special performance, but will also be invited to try their own hand at circus performance, with Circus Disco.

Foróige’s Retro Gameshow Night

Get ready to step back in time and bring out your grooviest attire because Foróige Letterkenny is throwing the ultimate blast from the past – a Retro Dress-Up Game Show Night at Spencer House on Highroad Letterkenny!

Participants will be ‘eating our way around the world’ and have an evening of games and quizzes which showcase many the different cultures and countries from around the world.

Foróige Creative Arts & Drama Workshop

Come along for an afternoon of acting, playing and creative craic with local actor and writer Ultan Pringle.

Spend an evening exploring a curated mix of creative activities that are a little out of the ordinary. From throwing clay to tooting your own horn, there’s a great selection of activities for young people to explore from 6-8pm.

Free Silent Disco with Atomic Djs

Join us in Myrtle Square in the heart of Dún Laoghaire for a free and inclusive silent disco for young people aged 14 – 18 on the evening of Cruinniú na nÓg.

The night will be hosted by young DJs, kbob (17), Gus Fingleton (16) and E the Artist (22) from Atomic. Atomic is an innovative programme which teaches girls and marginalised children how to DJ and gives young people access to broadcasting on Dublin Digital Radio.

Foróige’s LOL Comedy Club

Ongoing workshops once a week for 7 weeks in the run up to Cruinniú na nÓg day. On the day itself there will be a week-long intensive comedy summer programme in the lead up to the comedy show for Cruinniú na nÓg on June 15th.

The Garageland Galaxyz Live Youth Music Festival is coming to Millennium Park, Blanchardstown for Cruinniú na nÓg 2024! The biggest ever Youth Music project designed by the Garageland Team, Garageland Galaxyz is for the new generation. Inclusive for all young musicians, it’s A Safe Space To Shine!

Beats and Beyond 

A curated evening of live performances for 14-18-year-olds!

The culmination of the Beats and Beyond workshop series, this electrifying showcase features the freshest DJ talent in Galway. Witness the skills and passion these young DJs have honed under the guidance of renowned DJ Laura O’Connell, as they take to the stage and drop unforgettable sets guaranteed to keep you moving.

Be captivated by the raw talent and boundless creativity of Galway’s young performers aged 14-18. This showcase features a diverse range of artistic expressions, from music to circus acts, and everything in between. Experience the thrill of live performance and be inspired by the passion and dedication of these emerging artists.

Cruinniú Late with Gliondar

‘Athenry will play host to Cruinniú Late, a programme of events specifically geared at older teens aged 16-18. 

Gliondar is a Community Arts group whose practice is primarily through Street Spectacle/Theatre. They have a stilting troupe of teenagers over 14 years of age who will take to the streets for this event. 

During the day younger kids will be entertained by stilting, bubble, making, drumming and more in the grounds of the Athenry Arts & Heritage Centre.  As the evening wears on, local youth band, Moonlight Eclipse will take to the stage and close out an amazing day of fun and festivities with their energetic gig. Moonlight Eclipse will share the stage with youth bands from nearby towns, full lineup TBC.

Kerry are hosting a live mural project for teenager to ignite their creativity inspired by ‘Peggy’s Angels’.

The project aims to give interested students an opportunity to learn about the work of Museums and Galleries.  Participants will work with renowned curator Catherine Marshall to learn about what we collect and why we collect it.

Come and join our spine-tingling late-night showcase! 

Attendees will have exclusive access to the Medieval Museum after closing time, the undercroft of which will be transformed into a spooky American prom. Dress in your scariest finery and enjoy a showcase of exclusive plays, short films and musical performances by local young artists.

Garageland Galaxyz: Festival for Young Musicians

Ireland’s young musicians are invited to showcase their talents on Cruinniú Day! This festival will come to you live from Clarke’s Bar Music Venue in Mullingar. 

There will be hundreds of young artists, special guests, and music industry workshops in what is sure to be an exciting day for young musicians in Westmeath.
