  • Exhibition

Come visit Limerick Museum this Cruinniú na nÓg.

View the special exhibition, prepared by the young people of Dóchas Art Clubs, of their models of Irish Crannógs. This exhibition will be open on Saturday 15th June from 10:00 – 13:00 and 14:00 – 17:00.

Dóchas art clubs will explore modelmaking of Irish Crannógs through a series of workshops leading up to Cruinniú na nÓg. Participants will be introduced traditional construction techniques used in the building of Crannógs. Participants will then create scale models of Crannógs using natural materials that would have been used to build Crannógs.

Dóchas art clubs, are one of the selection of social interaction clubs provided to children and young people living with autism at Dóchas Midwest Autism Support.

The series of workshops will culminate in an exhibition of the work made, hosted in Limerick Museum on the day of Cruinniú na nÓg.

Please note that the workshops are available to members of Dóchas Art Clubs only. However, the exhibition is open to all.
