The 40km Limerick Greenway weaves through the captivating West Limerick countryside, offering young families the option to explore it by walking, cycling, running or doing it your own way. Following the old Limerick to Tralee railway line, the route seamlessly links the landscape with the towns and villages located nearby, providing children and young adults with the ideal location to celebrate Cruinniú na nÓg 2024.
Look out for the former Station Houses and Goods Sheds near the carparks of each of the five hub towns and villages. One of these that you will find is the beautifully restored and renovated Rathkeale Goods Shed (V94 NR12), due to open as a hub in the summer of 2024.
Take a trip to Ardagh Greenway Hub (located on R523, less than 1km from Ardagh village) where you will find a replica of the historic Ardagh Chalice, carved from a tree that once stood outside Ardagh Station House.
