EcoKite Flying Festival at Tramore Valley Park

  • Performance

Mark your diaries for the first Tramore Valley Park EcoKite Festival!

This unique climate action fun day out will display colourful kites made by children in local schools from recycled materials.  Artists Amna Walayat and Kim-Ling Morris will work with the guide classes in the schools in making fish-shaped kites from recycled materials. When you see what can be made with the humble broken umbrella, you may never throw one away again!

Tramore Valley Park is home to the ongoing KinShip art project for climate awareness. Given the location’s former identity and its proximity to the current city civic amenity for recycling, there is no better place to think creatively about our role in reducing waste.

Tramore Valley Park EcoKite Festival is brought to you by KinShip in partnership with Cork City Council and supported by Creative Ireland.

Feel free to bring a picnic. We look forward to seeing you there!

The EcoKite flying will take place at the North Rugby Pitch in Tramore Valley Park
