Interactive Storytelling with Sparkcatchers!

Tuam Library and Sparkcatchers! are teaming up to provide an engaging and inspiring programme of workshops for Cruinniú na nÓg 2024. 

‘The voyage to Cnoc Meá’ is a storytelling performance with puppets for 6-12 year olds, which re-imagines Ireland’s oldest story of ‘Cessair’ and her journey from Africa to the hill of Cnoc Meá near Tuam, in search of a place to call home.

The event will give children the unique opportunity to experience a story from their area, created by local teenagers. 

The show will be performed 3 times on Cruinniú na nÓg day (June 15th).  Performances will be 30 minutes long, followed by a 10-minute Q & A,  also informing the audience of linked resources available in the Tuam Library. 

Performance times are 12pm, 2pm and 4pm. 

Booking is essential and is done either via email or ‘phone.
