Erica Lee (Age 18) and Sean Woods (Age 17) will be performing at Teen Night ft. GALAXYZ  this Cruinniú as part of supergroup ‘Dopamom’

‘Dopamom’  blends performers from 2 bands – 3 members from ‘Dopamine’ (Sean Fleming on lead guitar and vocals, Sean Woods on tambourine and drums and Kris Gavin on bass) and 2 members from ‘Thanks Mom’ (Cillian McDonnell on Drums and Erica Lee on vocals and guitar).

Erica began playing guitar during lockdown when she became obsessed with Nirvana, and exclusively listened to them for an entire year! When asked about the process of learning how to play the guitar Erica said ‘I was really awful at the beginning as I lacked the ability to sing in key or write a song with more than 3 chords. Slowly (very very slowly) I improved and eventually, I found enough confidence to play some open mic nights and start putting together a band.’

Sean bought his first electric drum kit in 6th class after saving up the money for it.  He says that creativity keeps him sane! When he can get together with his band and write original music together or just jam, it can be so relaxing and fun.

Drums can give you a break from the world and give yousomething to do in a safe space that is productive and healthy.
