Spectrum Sorcerers – Walkinstown Library – 10.30am to 11.30am

  • Workshop

In this workshop, you will learn about light dispersion, while creating your very own hanging crystal suncatcher for your window.  Become a Spectrum Sorcerer, as you bend light through a prism and split the wavelengths into all the colours of the rainbow!  Discover where light comes from, how a rainbow is made, how we can see the colours and how some animals can see things differently.

Design your own suncatcher, complete with hanging crystal and folded origami star, to create a dazzling display of technicolour light in your home.

Facilitated by Selene Murphy of Litmus Arts.

Suitable for children age 7-12 years.

Workshop duration: 1 hour.  All materials provided.

Booking: Places limited, so booking required.

Please contact the library at Tel.: 01-222 8890; Email: walkinstownlibrary@dublincity.ie to reserve your place to attend.
